So, there have been 3,446 confirmed cases of dengue and almost 11,909 suspected cases in the Jammu division. The Secretary of Health and Medical Education (H&ME) Bhupinder Kumar, has reviewed the situation and containment drives are being held.
An official spokesperson of the J&K government also remarked on the situation, “The department is working hard towards containment of the disease by ensuring quality care services for dengue-positive cases being treated at home as well as in health institutions.”
They also informed that fever clinics were being run in Government Medical College and other hospitals for diagnoses and treatment of suspected dengue cases. Regular spraying and fogging are also being carried out in the suspected dengue-positive areas of the Jammu division.
